Youth Chinese kickboxing finals kick off in Taiyuan

The school sports group finals for sanda -- or Chinese kickboxing -- at the 2nd National Youth Games kicked off in Taiyuan, in Shanxi province, on June 24.
The four-day event has attracted 244 athletes from 48 sports schools across China to challenge for 20 gold medals.
The competition is divided into A and B groups. There are six levels for the women's team and eleven for the men's group, according to the weight of participants.
To help out at the event, more than 80 volunteers were deployed to serve in the reception area and to assist with equipment management, helping at the award giving ceremonies and with doping inspections.
