The Shanxi leg of the 2019 National Teenage Winter and Summer Sports Camp was launched in Linfen city on May 12. 

The 2019 sports camp will organize events in 23 sports including football, swimming, ice and snow sports, martial arts, archery and aeronautical modeling -- with the number of participants expected to exceed 10,000, according to Zhao Wenli, director of the teenage division of the Shanxi Sport Bureau.

Some 1,000 teens in the city took part in the launch ceremony, showing off their sports skills.
