The predecessor of Shanxi Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group (山西晋城无烟煤矿业集团) was Jincheng Coal Mining Administration, which was founded in 1958. After structural reform in 2000 and 2005, the group has developed into the largest coalbed gas development and utilization, coal chemical and gas power company in China and a vital domestic production base for quality anthracite.
Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group has been transforming its business structure in recent years based on its resource advantages in anthracite and coalbed gas. It has expanded business in coal, coalbed gas, chemical, power, coal machinery and emerging sectors.
The group now has 68 subsidiaries, 11 branch companies and one trusteeship company in 30 cities in 11 provinces. It generated 166.6 billion yuan ($24.44 billion) in revenue and 3.039 billion yuan in profits in 2017.
