The Pingyao Diesel Engine Industrial Park in the northwest of the Ancient City of Pingyao in North China's Shanxi province, where the old Pingyao Diesel Engine Factory was located, covers a total area of 71,954 square meters.

There is a cinema, gift shops, themed restaurants, an art studio, a cultural creative fair, a pub, a hostel and a bookstore in the industrial park -- which provides tourists with a whole host of leisure options.

It is also a cultural tourism destination for various events such as the Sculpture Projects Pingyao in July, the Pingyao International Photography Festival in September, the Pingyao International Film Festival in October and the Pingyao Chinese New Year celebrations during the traditional Spring Festival holiday.
