North China's Pingyao county adds another land port

The founding ceremony for a new land port in Pingyao county took place in Taiyuan city, capital of North China's Shanxi province on June 2.

The land port was jointly established by Shanxi Jinzhong Haotong Logistics Co, the Taiyuan branch of China Railway Container Transport Co and Cangzhou Port Group.

Pingyao inland port is one of the 20 land ports operated by Cangzhou Port Group, based in Hebei province.

Officials said that after its establishment, the three parties will give full play to the advantages of Pingyao's cargo sources and the facilities at Huanghua Port on the Bohai Gulf, operated by Cangzhou Port Group.

They will leverage them to further expand the volume and types of goods transportation between Pingyao county and Cangzhou city. 

Officials said that the moving forwards, Pingyao land port will be developed into a model of inland port in Shanxi province and a new strategic base for Huanghua Port.

Currently, Pingyao county has two land ports, including the newly added one.
