Datong advances industry transformation, county development
Liu Junyi, deputy Party secretary of Datong in Shanxi province, conducted an in-depth investigation of Lingqiu county from Jan 9 to 10.
Liu focused on the progress of big data projects, the integration of culture and tourism, the development of organic agriculture, and the advancement of the general aviation industry.
Liu emphasized that Lingqiu should use its geographical, ecological, and resource advantages to promote the integration of urbanization and rural revitalization, aiming for high-quality transformation and development.
In recent years, Lingqiu has capitalized on its favorable geographical location, ecological environment, and business-friendly atmosphere to foster a new pattern of big data industry clusters through digital industrialization and industrial digitization.
Lingqiu is rich in cultural and tourism resources, including the Pingxingguan Victory Memorial Hall. Liu highlighted the importance of utilizing these abundant cultural resources and green ecological advantages to create high-quality tourism products, enrich cultural tourism offerings, and enhance visitor experiences.
The county has also achieved remarkable results by exploring a development model integrating "organic agriculture + ecological tourism + beautiful countryside". Liu emphasized focusing on integrating technology research and development, improving basic conditions, and building product brands to effectively pursue organic dry farming agriculture.
Liu also stressed the importance of integrating e-commerce with advantageous and characteristic industries. He encouraged residents to develop e-commerce sales by providing relevant training, enhancing entrepreneurial skills, broadening income channels, and contributing to rural revitalization.
Pingxingguan General Airport, opened in July 2023, features complete infrastructure and excellent runway conditions. The Lingqiu General Aviation Industrial Park, which surrounds the airport, has a planned construction area of 6,105 mu (407 hectares).
Liu pointed out the need to enhance innovation capabilities and support infrastructure construction, develop related scenario applications and market formats, and utilize low-altitude airspace resources to drive the rapid development of the low-altitude economy.
