Datong utilizes foreign investment totaling $70.21 million in Jan-Nov
Datong city in North China's Shanxi province utilized $70.21 million in actual foreign investment from January to November this year, representing a year-on-year growth of 10.62 percent and ranking third in the province.
The city has strengthened its ability to attract foreign-funded manufacturing businesses, established a special team for foreign investment work, and improved existing services for its foreign investors and projects.
Currently, there are 58 foreign-invested enterprises in the city. They range across several industries, including manufacturing, information transmission, software, information technology services, as well as scientific research and technical services.
The city will now focus on attracting more foreign investment in the advanced manufacturing, high-tech, and agriculture industries. It will also fully leverage the advantages of its development zones in order to attract more high-tech and foreign investment projects.
