A concert in celebration of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day was held in Datong city, North China's Shanxi province, on Sept 26. 

The event was organized by the Datong bureau of culture and tourism and the Datong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, with the aim of making full use of Datong's rich artistic resources and creating a strong festive atmosphere. 

The concert featured national first-class performer Han Ruisheng as the conductor, and presented performances including a concerto featuring the erhu (a two-stringed bowed musical instrument), another led by the pipa (a four-stringed Chinese lute), and a solo performance accompanied by a poetry recital. 

This allowed the audience to experience the romance of the festival and the artistic moments brought by the joyful melodies. 

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday starts on Sept 29 and ends on Oct 6.
