Construction work began on the HyperStrong Xiachu Energy Storage Equipment Industrial Park in the Datong Economic and Technological Development Zone in Datong city, North China's Shanxi province, on Sept 4. 

On the same day, Shanxi HyperStrong Xiachu Technology Co, a joint venture between Beijing HyperStrong Technology Co and Beijing Xiachu Technology Group Co, signed a cooperation agreement with the Administration Committee of Datong Economic and Technological Development Zone. 

According to the agreement, Shanxi HyperStrong Xiachu Technology Co will construct and operate the energy storage equipment industrial park.

The industrial park will include three production lines with a combined annual capacity of 6GWh for energy storage equipment manufacturing, as well as an energy storage battery laboratory and a system research and development center. 

The industrial park, with a planned investment of 630 million yuan ($85.80 million), will be built in three phases. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 6 billion yuan.

In addition, Beijing HyperStrong Technology Co and Beijing Xiachu Technology Group Co will accelerate the implementation of wind power and photovoltaic projects, promoting the large-scale development and application of new energy projects in Datong.
