Datong city in North China's Shanxi province has prioritized the development its digital industry, and as of March, 10 counties and districts were home to data call and annotation businesses employing more than 6,000 people.
That's in the wake of the city's push from June 2021 to develop its big data service industries, including the data call and annotation sectors.
The city has introduced a number of big data service enterprises with a high employment rate, attracting a large number of young people to work there.
Currently, the Datong Digital Government Service Center is moving to expand the data service industry and is promoting the construction of a data and information hub through a raft of measures.
The center will assist JD Logistics and China Motion Telecom to bring in more business and develop more data call positions.
Plans are for it to boost cooperation with the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center and the Datong Economic Construction Investment Group, to complete the construction of a data collection and annotation base, a professional training base and an artificial intelligence basic data base.
Furthermore, more big data service enterprises are expected to be introduced to the city.
This year, Datong aims to add 5,000 new jobs in the data service industry and employ a total of 10,000 people in the sector.
