To further implement COVID-19 prevention and control and to avoid gatherings, the marriage registration office of Pingcheng district in Datong city in North China's Shanxi province recently implemented an appointment system for marriage registration.

Couples can complete all the procedures in about 10 minutes on site. 

Under to the requirements, the office has carried out a telephone registration appointment system and drafted daily registration schedules. 

It has also arranged for marriage registration parties to register in different time periods and informed them of marriage registration procedures and required documents in advance. 

During the epidemic prevention and control period, the certification process, oath services and marriage and family counseling services have been temporarily cancelled.
