Zuoyun county issues new policies to attract investment
Zuoyun county – administered by Datong city, in North China's Shanxi province – on June 23 issued 10 new policies to promote more investment, at a conference on attracting investment and getting businesses to locate there.
The policies cover land utilization, factory leases, water subsidies, electricity and heating fees and incentives to attract new projects.
In one initiative, the county will halve land transfer fees. The industry water fee will be charged at a reduced 3 yuan ($0.46) a metric ton, while the electricity fee will be 0.3 yuan/kWh and the natural gas rate will be set at 2-3 yuan per cubic meter.
More than 200 people attended the conference, including Zuoyun-born entrepreneurs from all over China, representatives of major chambers of commerce in Datong and representatives of companies and projects in the county.
A total of 57 leading entrepreneurs were appointed in the first batch of investment consultants in the county.
In recent years, Zuoyun has carried out investment promotions, optimized its local business environment and promoted the development and project introduction of the Zuoyun Economic and Technological Development Zone. These measures have brought new vitality to the county's economic transformation and development.
In addition, it has invited many entrepreneurs to hold seminars, where they have shared market information, used their influence and connections to bring in more finance and top-flight professionals into the county, which has sparked a widespread response.
