Datong adds one national wetland park

Three wetland parks in North China's Shanxi province have been recognized as national wetland parks, according to a recent announcement by National Forestry and Grassland Administration. 

The recognized parks are Fenhe River National Wetland Park in Jishan county, Cangtou River National Wetland Park in Youyu county and Sanggan River National Wetland Park in Datong city. 

Fenhe River National Wetland Park covers 718.23 hectares, with the wetland area accounting for 84.67 percent of the park's total area. By creating the park, the wetland's water quality can be further improved, the wetland ecosystem can be effectively protected and the environmental quality of the Fenhe River Basin can be significantly improved.
