ABB Datong Traction Transformer Co is a joint venture established by ABB China and CRRC Datong Co. Managed by ABB China, it has a total investment of $15 million and a registered capital of $6 million.

The company was formally established on Dec 20, 2005, and started operation in August 2006. It supplies 400 sets of traction transformers and lightweight transformers to high-power locomotive manufacturers and high-speed train unit manufacturers. Thanks to ABB Secheron technology its products are internationally advanced.
