An event for the signing, groundbreaking, and production of projects was held in the Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone in the city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province on July 16.

During the event, Yangquan signed agreements for a total of 10 projects with a total of 5.01 billion yuan ($774.32 million) in investment, mainly involving equipment manufacturing, energy conservation, environmental protection, and new materials. 

A total of 39 projects involving high-end equipment manufacturing, environmental protection, new materials, big data, and commerce started construction that same day. 

Among them, the Senlian (Yangquan) Automobile Expo City, with 3.02 billion yuan in investment, will enhance Yangquan's market competitiveness and economic development after being put into production.
