How to keep healthy during the epidemic period?

Here are tips on 24-hour epidemic prevention for residents, provided by the Yangquan Center for Disease Control and Prevention. 

Before going out:

1. Open the window for 30 minutes.

2. Do not share toiletries with family members.

3. Take body temperature to assess your physical condition and don't go to work with an illness.

4. Prepare protective masks and disinfection wipes for use for the day.

5. Clean your hands and wear protective masks properly. 

When taking the elevator:

1. Be sure to wear protective masks.

2. Use tissues or the like when touching buttons.

3. Try not to communicate in the elevator and don't get close to others while in the elevator.

4. It is recommended to take the stairs in low buildings and not to touch the handrail.

On the way to work:

1. Wear your protective masks all the way.

2. Try walking, cycling or driving your own car.

3. Pay attention to wiping down and disinfecting the bike when riding a shared bicycle.

4. When using public transportation, keep your distance from others and try to avoid touching the facilities on the vehicles.

5. Open the door to ventilate it before taking a taxi and remind the driver to wear a mask.

In the office:

1. Measure your temperature before entering the office building.

2. Wear a mask throughout your time indoors.

3. Wash your hands frequently, especially on arrival at the office.

4. Wash and disinfect your hands before and after touching public items or circulating paper documents.

5. Keep the environment hygienic and clean, remove garbage regularly and pay attention to the disinfection of mobile phones, the computer mouse, keyboards, stationery and other items.

6. Drink plenty of water (not less than 1,500 ml every day).

7. Keep a distance of more than 1 meter from others, reduce face-to-face communications and choose to communicate online as much as possible.

8. Cut down on meetings or control the time of meetings.

9. Ventilate the room three times a day for 30 minutes each time and keep warm when doing so.
