Pingyao-themed collection to be launched on China Tourism Day

A China Tourism Day-themed digital collection will be officially launched on May 19 with a limited edition of 5,190 copies.

The digital collection is jointly produced by China Tourism News Agency and China Telecom with support from Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism and Pingyao culture and tourism bureau. 

The digital collection is the first to mark China Tourism Day and is expected to be popular among travel and collection enthusiasts. 

Themed around the Ancient City of Pingyao, which is the main venue of the 12th China Tourism Day, the collection features works by local photographers and showcases the four main streets, eight small streets and 72 alleys with the architectural characteristics of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties in the Ancient City of Pingyao. 

Each copy of the digital collection is unique and can be displayed on mobile phones. 

People can download and install the Yipay application from major mobile app markets and receive the collection for free in a special column after authenticating their identity. 

Each person who receives the digital collection can receive a 30-yuan ($4.44) JD (an e-commerce platform) PLUS membership discount coupon for free within three working days after receiving the collection, and learn about relevant preferential policies related to China Tourism Day through the app.
