North China investment promotion attracts a lot of investment

The old city of Pingyao, in Shanxi province holds an investment promotion fair as a major part of its annual International Photography Festival and this year’s fair, on Sept 20, saw deals signed on 11 worth $114.2 billion in all.

This year’s theme was “Inheriting Shanxi business culture, taking advantage of brands, improving the investment environment, providing quality services, promoting investment and transforming the economy” and with the concentration on three areas -- agriculture and cultural tourism industries; transforming industries; and livelihood investment projects.
