Shanxi circular economy photography contest begins

The Shanxi Circular Economy Photography Contest began in May and will last until August. The contest was jointly organized by the Shanxi Circular Economy Promotion Council, the Shanxi Pingyao International Photography Festival Photographers Association and the Pingyao International Photography Festival’s organizing committee.

The contest focuses on circular economy development and ecological civilization and encourages photographers to record achievements in the region’s circular economy projects, green development and construction. It aims to collect high-quality photos that can reflect Shanxi’s efforts in energy, water, materials and land conservation as well as waste reduction, obsolete capacity elimination, ecological management and park construction.

The contest aims to boost circular, green and low-carbon development and improve public awareness of the circular economy, thus creating an environment conducive to the circular economy’s development.

The circular economy has developed rapidly in recent years and jumped from a theory on paper to a practice in the real world. Shanxi is exploring an effective circular development model that integrates enterprise, industrial parks and society.
