Shanxi’s 10th ICIF pavilion inundated with visitors

At the China (Shenzhen) International Culture Industry Fair (ICIF), which opened at the Shenzhen conference and exhibition center, May 15, Shanxi had 200 works of art on display at Pavilion No.1, which pulled in more than 60,000 visitors the first day, Shanxi Daily reported on May 15.

The Shanxi exhibits at the five-day fair are meant to show its traditional cultural products and their distinct features, such as embroidery, paper-cuts, lacquer and porcelain ware, and its cultural heritage.

Its emerging culture industries are using science and technology to innovate and the products all show a high degree of technology. And, the culture business is on the rise, with Shanxi improving the industry with many corporations and projects. For this exhibition, it brought along 131 business projects, worth an estimated 75.7 billion yuan ($12.1 billion).

It also has a slogan, "Cultural Shanxi, beautiful Shanxi" to show its modern side, with some folk songs performed on a small stage at the Shanxi pavilion to show the province's transformation and development spirit.

The exhibition has a total of 2,263 government offices, enterprises and institutions taking part, 145 more than the number of last session.
