Pingyao ancient town has over 200,000 tourists in May Day

The old city of Pingyao, Shanxi Province, a world cultural heritage site, received about 200,000 visitors from China and abroad, over May Day holiday, bringing in 5.2 million yuan ($834,000).

During that time period, the old part of Pingyao saw 294,000 visitors, and setting a record for orderly, safe behavior. The improvement of tourism service quality will bring about a big change to provide a more comfortable traveling environment to the tourists.
