Pingyao citizens get fire extinguishers for free

The citizens in Pingyao ancient city, Shanxi province, have recently been given the fire-fighting equipment for free by the Pingyao county government, in order to increase their readiness for handling fire disasters in the scenic area.

The first batch of fire-fighting equipment included 2,000 fire extinguishers, and 1,000 fire fighting equipment boxes, and new regulations were also unveiled for the better use of this equipment.

The Pingyao county fire fighting unit will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and annual examination of the fire fighting equipment.

During recent years, fire disaster prevention work has become one of the key emphasis in the ancient cities around the country.
