The "Shanxi Night" event, hosted by the Shanxi Provincial Government, made its debut at 135th China Import and Export Fair (also known as Canton Fair) in Guangzhou on April 15.

During the event, the province's new image was showcased from all perspectives through the curated "Shanxi-Guangdong Story Collection", special artistic performances, a Shanxi-style banquet, as well as a series of exhibitions reflecting the province's economic vitality and profound culture.

Fabien Pacory, vice-president of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCI France Chine), expressed that "Shanxi Night" has provided him with a profound understanding of Shanxi's circular economy and green economy. He also expressed his keen interest in the province's further development in logistics, culture, and tourism. 

Cui Lingling, director of the foreign investment promotion bureau of Linfen city in Shanxi province, expressed that this event helped guests from home and abroad to understand Shanxi's splendid culture, profound history, magnificent natural scenery, and remarkable achievements. 

During the event, Linfen further explored cooperation opportunities with technology companies in Guangzhou in the emerging fields such as unmanned driving and aerial transportation. The city aims to attract more favorable projects to its jurisdiction.

The exchanges between Shanxi and Guangdong have longstanding origins. Yang Chunquan, director of the Shanxi Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, stated that the bureau will continue to organize special investment promotion events in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other key regions, so as to attract foundational, strategic, and leading large-scale projects to land in Shanxi.
