North China's Shanxi province handled a total of 928 million yuan ($139.20 million) in tax deferrals for micro, small, and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises from January to the end of April. 

Shanxi's tax authorities accurately targeted qualifying groups through tax big data, and carried out policy publicity and guidance through messages, work chat groups and short videos.

The intelligent operation guidelines of the electronic tax bureau have been released to ensure that taxpayers can understand and fully benefit from national policies, and help micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the manufacturing industry to weather difficulties.

According to the director of the Shanxi Provincial Tax Service, the implementation of the tax deferred policy for the enterprises in the manufacturing industry has increased their working capital, aided in research and development, and raised operational confidence and expectations.
