Yunzhu Lake scenic area in Jinzhong, North China's Shanxi province, was recently recognized as one of 47 national sports tourism demonstration bases by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 

The scenic area in Yushe county has a vast lake in the north and wetlands to the east and west of the lake. It boasts international artistic and cultural attractions and themed hotel clusters, and is focusing on building a sports town.

The scenic area has built a 26-kilometer ring road and a 29-km bicycle lane around the lake, a car theme park and two docks.
