Taiyuan Customs, Shanxi branch of CCPIT sign memorandum of cooperation

Taiyuan Customs, the provincial customs department of North China's Shanxi province, recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

The two sides will carry out cooperation in eight areas, including policy research, information sharing, free trade zone construction, origin visas, corporate training, and talent team building to promote Shanxi's opening-up to the outside world and create a good international business environment in the province. 

Both the customs and the Shanxi branch of CCPIT issue certificates of origin and both provide services for enterprises to help them with use of the certificates and send more of their products abroad.

In the first half of 2021, Taiyuan Customs issued a total of 8,257 certificates of origin with a visa value of $572.98 million. Among them, 4,823 were FTA certificates of origin, with a visa value of $27.50 million, and enterprises enjoyed a tariff preference of $13.94 million.
