Wutaishan Airport in Shanxi to open flights to 15 cities

Xinzhou Wutaishan Airport in Xinzhou city in North China's Shanxi province will open flights to 15 domestic cities from March 28, according to a new airline promotion held by the airport and Spring Airlines on March 18. 

The 15 popular domestic destinations are Shanghai, Harbin, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Shenyang, Chongqing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Baotou, Xiamen, Chengdu, Tianjin, Nanning and Changsha.

Of these, the flights to Shenyang and Xiamen, operating on Airbus A320, will be officially launched on March 28 and there will be three flights a week for each route. 

A one-way ticket between Xinzhou and Shenyang, Xinzhou and Xiamen starts from 99 yuan ($15.20) and 299 yuan respectively, reflecting the ticket promotions for the new launches.

It is believed the discount ticket prices being offered by the airport will help attract more tourists to Xinzhou for vacation and tourism, as well as drive tourism growth in the scenic areas in the city. 

At the promotion, Xinzhou Wutaishan Airport also released a number of featured routes suitable for travel in summer and autumn. 

Airport official Qin Xiaojun said the airport will continue to optimize its air route network structure, increase the development of routes, improve the quality of operational services and promote the coordinated development of the air transport and tourism industries.
