Shanxi province's members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) submitted 98 proposals, including 12 joint recommendations, to the CPPCC National Committee, during the 2021 annual session of the CPPCC National Committee in Beijing from March 4 to 10.

The 21 CPPCC National Committee members proposed ideas focusing on the government work report's critical tasks, the formulation and implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan outline, and Shanxi's actual situation.

Among the proposals, 74 have been put on file and handed over to relevant ministries and commissions for further discussion and implementation. These proposals involved the establishment of the China (Shanxi) Free Trade Pilot Zone, the integrated development of Shanxi and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the industrial development of carbon-based new materials.
