Changzhi college lauded for 5G-based medical applications

Changzhi Medical College, based in Changzhi city in North China's Shanxi province, was recently recognized as a demonstration base for 5G-based medical applications. 

It received the recognition from the Quantum Information Committee of the China Communications Industry Association, at the first 5G Industry Summit and China Manufacturing Industry Forum held in Beijing.

Jointly hosted by the China Communications Industry Association and the Research Institute of Machinery Industry Economic & Management, and Economy Magazine, the summit was themed on promoting 5G commercial applications and restructuring industrial innovation values.

Some 500 domestic experts, academics, manufacturing sector leaders, as well as representatives from listed companies, investment institutions, medical schools, scientific research institutes and journalists attended the event. 

Zheng Jinping, vice-president of Changzhi Medical College, delivered a report on 5G-based intelligent healthcare and education. Zheng elaborated on 5G applications to promote telemedicines, distance education, smart hospital construction, intelligent healthcare and to teach medical professionals. 

The recognition for the college will help further explore the applications of 5G technologies in the fields of smart healthcare and education.
