Baiyekou Reservoir in Shanxi province recently won the 2018-2019 National Quality Engineering Award, according to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources on Dec 17. 

The National Quality Engineering Award, founded in 1981, is the earliest, highest specification, cross-industrial and cross-professional national honor award in terms of the quality of engineering constructions in China. 

Baiyekou Reservoir is the first one in the Shanxi water conservancy industry to receive the award. 

Among those involved in the construction of the reservoir -- Shanxi Water Conservancy Construction Engineering Co, the Hebei Provincial Water Conservancy Bureau and Shanxi Hydroelectric Investment and Design Institute were also rewarded at the national quality engineering awards ceremony.
