Yuncheng city, in southern Shanxi province, launched regular charter flight service to Nha Trang in Vietnam on Dec 18, in the wake of another new air service to Thailand which started on Dec 14. 

Operated by Vietnam Jetstar Pacific Airlines, the Yuncheng-Nha Trang air service using Airbus A320 aircraft which are scheduled to fly each Wednesday.

The BL1311/10 flight departs Yuncheng at 23:00 (Beijing time) and arrives in Nha Trang at 02:10 (local time). The return flight takes off from Nha Trang at 17:00 (local time) and arrives in Yuncheng at 22:00 (Beijing time). 

Officials said the passenger load of the maiden flight on Dec 18 hit 100 percent. 

By taking advantage of the two international air services launched in December, 40,000 more passengers are expected to travel between Yuncheng, Vietnam and Thailand throughout the year, according to the director of Yuncheng Airport. 

Officials said the international air service will further communications and cooperation in trade, culture and tourism between Yuncheng city and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
