Yangquan prioritizes business environment improvement
The city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province has prioritized the improvement of its local business environment in pursuit of high-quality development.
To realize this, the city has furthered the reform of local administrative services, pushed reform and innovation in development zones, and supported the development of the private sector.
The Yangquan administrative examination and approval service bureau has strengthened the coordination of examination and approval supervision, provided whole-process guidance, assistance and agency services for enterprises, and enacted more than 10 innovative institutional policies concerning examination and approval, supervision, taxation, customs, science and technology, and government procurement.
Development zones in Yangquan are committed to creating a good development environment and showcasing the city's business environment. The Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone has streamlined the administrative examination and approval process, and offered policy support for sample plot transfers, credit supervision, joint acceptance, and agency services. In addition, the economic and technological development zones of Yuxian and Pingding counties have solved various issues related to projects in a timely manner, ensuring the effective and orderly progress of project construction.
Furthermore, the Yangquan Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Development Center plans to help 48 SMEs grow into enterprises above a designated size – those with annual revenues of 20 million yuan ($3.13 million) or more – by the end of this year.
The center has helped 15 SMEs be recognized as provincial professional, innovative, and special SMEs, trained around 1,000 people at SMEs, and obtained financial support from governments and financial institutions for SMEs, creating a suitable environment for the high-quality development of SMEs.
In addition, the city has promoted the optimization and structural adjustment of the public sector. The reuse of idle assets of State-owned enterprises has been advanced as well, with the value of 504,000 square meters of idle State-owned buildings increased.
