New Shanxi tourism regulations to boost autumn and winter travel

The "Regulations on Promoting Tourism Development in Shanxi Province" will come into effect on Nov 1, acting as a new catalyst for North China's Shanxi province's tourism growth.

The regulations are closely aligned with Shanxi's unique characteristics, aiming to explore the province's rich cultural heritage and resource advantages.

The regulations emphasize enhancing the tourism industry chain by promoting the development of tourist resorts and theme parks, improving consumer experiences and night-time offerings, developing new winter tourism formats, and supporting digital applications and smart tourism initiatives.

To enhance service quality, the regulations outline a series of measures aimed at improving tourism convenience and strengthening industry management. This includes streamlining reservation processes for attractions, easing entry for inbound tourists, and establishing a visitor-centered tourism service evaluation system. 

In line with the new regulations, local areas are actively planning cultural and tourism activities.
