Shanxi's 2nd characteristic professional town expo kicks off in Datong

The 2nd Shanxi Characteristic Professional Town Investment and Trade Expo opened on July 3 in Datong, North China's Shanxi province, with 18 provincial and 119 city-level characteristic professional towns in attendance, aiming to promote local strengths, attract investment and boost collaboration.

The expo will run until July 5, offering a platform for exchanges and collaboration between characteristic professional towns and enterprises inside and outside the province. It features an opening ceremony, a main investment promotion conference, multiple side events, and a product exhibition. Additional activities include an achievement reveal, a project signing event, and a live stream sales event.

The exhibition area is divided into an equipment manufacturing exhibition area for characteristic professional towns, a digital exhibition hall and 11 consumer goods exhibition and trading areas for city-level characteristic professional towns. This diverse layout provides a comprehensive showcase of the unique products of Shanxi's characteristic professional towns, fostering business collaboration and discussions.

In recent years, Shanxi has designated characteristic professional towns as key drivers of economic transformation, manufacturing revitalization, and county development, implementing comprehensive support policies and launching various industrial projects. This focus has resulted in a large number of county-level economic engines with strong product brand and market recognition.
