Pingyao introduces new cultural tourism projects

The government of Pingyao county signed a project cooperation framework agreement with Lvliang Taihua Corp on Jan 4 in Lyuliang city, North China's Shanxi province. 

The signed projects mainly include the Ziyu International Resort Hotel Project and the Ziyu Cultural Exhibition Hall Project. 

The Ziyu International Resort Hotel Project is planned to be located in the surrounding area of the Ancient City of Pingyao. It will be a five-star hotel that integrates business reception, dining, accommodation, conference training, and leisure entertainment. The Ziyu Cultural Exhibition Hall Project is planned to be located within the Ancient City of Pingyao and will be an exhibition hall themed around folk homestays, intangible cultural heritage, and coins.

Wei Jiangfeng, the top official of Pingyao county, said that the international resort hotel will fill the gap in higher-end hotels in Pingyao. It will greatly improve the overall quality of the county's cultural tourism sector. The cultural exhibition hall will better showcase the intangible cultural heritage of Pingyao.

Wei believed that this partnership will strongly promote the high-quality development of Pingyao as an international tourist city. The Pingyao government will provide an exceptional business environment and policies to ensure the implementation, construction, and operation of these projects.

Zhang Wei, representing Lvliang Taihua Corp, stated that as a native of Pingyao, he is deeply concerned about the development of his hometown. The company will do its utmost to invest in the construction and development of Pingyao, contributing to making it an internationally famous tourist destination.

The Lvliang Taihua Corp, founded in May 1993, is a private company. Currently, it has nine major business sectors, including petrochemical operations, coal mining, real estate development, construction materials, commercial services, basic education, ecological agriculture, and cultural tourism. It has nearly 5.6 billion yuan ($784.73 million) in fixed assets and employs over 4,000 staff members.
