A seminar on film technology development and innovation was held in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, on Oct 12.

Hosted by the China Film Administration, the seminar aimed to strengthen the coordinated development and complementary advantages of various sectors in the film industry chain, accelerate the improvement of weak links and development bottlenecks in China's film technology, and achieve completely independent control over key core technologies in the film field at an early date.

Zhang Wei, director of the China Research Institute of Film Science and Technology, and other industry insiders delivered keynote speeches on the development trends and current situation of domestic and international film technology.

More than 140 guests attended the seminar, including representatives from the China Film Administration, major State-owned and private film production institutions and associations, film technology and equipment manufacturing units, film distributors, and production companies.
