Pingyao embraces influx of tourists over holiday

During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday from Sept 29 to Oct 6, the number of tourists to the Ancient City of Pingyao in North China's Shanxi province continued to rise.

Pingyao launched four major routes related to culture, rural leisure, intangible cultural heritage, and travel photography, respectively. 

Glance at Pingyao, a local immersive indoor play, was staged 40 times during the holiday period, with tickets for every show sold out.
