Shuttlecock promoted in Pingyao as sport for all ages

The 2023 National Shuttlecock Public Promotion was launched in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, on June 10. 

The event sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Shuttlecock Association will be held in 16 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, with Pingyao county as its first stop. 

This encompasses a national shuttlecock competition. In addition, the organizer will launch a video collection online to show some of the highlights of people playing the sport across the country.

Yang Shande, chairman of the Chinese Shuttlecock Association, said the event aims to promote shuttlecock culture and knowledge among the public, and advance the sport's development.

High-standard training programs for coaches will also be organized to help enthusiasts become more professional in the sport.
