Research study tours promote Pingyao cultural heritage

Over 100 children from Pingyao No 2 Kindergarten in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, recently experienced a traditional Chinese school entrance ceremony. 

Accompanied by docents, teachers and parents, the children visited local monuments and museums, and research centers, gaining a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

In recent years, relying on its rich historical and cultural resources, Pingyao has combined research learning and travel experience to develop research and practice education, so as to promote the innovation and development of the local cultural tourism industry and pass down the local cultural heritage to future generations.

Research Study in Pingyao, a typical program of the combination, has proven popular.

The program, consisting of research lectures and practices, focuses on promoting the spirit of Shanxi merchants, craftsmanship, scientific and technological innovation, and labor creation, said Li Yaping, the program leader. 

We have also launched a series of characteristic study courses and more than 20 research learning travel routes, Li added. 

Since 2020, more than 100,000 people have participated in the program online and offline, learning traditional culture in high-quality research courses, cultivating the spirit of struggle, and enhancing the sense of national identity and pride.
