Exhibition in Pingyao improves children's cultural understanding

The Chinese Original Picture Book Exhibition in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, has attracted nearly 1,000 visitors.

The exhibition was jointly organized by the Pingyao Women's Federation, Pingyao Cultural Center, Pingyao Library and Tong Yao Yue Reading Hall. 

A total of 129 original Chinese picture books and 48 picture book illustrations are displayed at the exhibition, teaching children about Chinese culture. 

The exhibition runs from April 15 to May 2, and interactive events such as magic storytelling sessions and parent discussion salons are scheduled to be held.

The organizers hope children can read high-quality original Chinese picture books, deepen their understanding of traditional culture, and develop cognitive, aesthetic and reading habits from an early age.
