Pingyao explores new rural vitalization path

Ninggu town in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province is exploring a new path to advance rural vitalization and improve people's lives.

In recent years, the town has combined 24 collective economic cooperation organizations to form an innovative development model in which farmers use land to invest in shares and the collectives conduct large-scale operations.

Under such a model, not only has the collective economy been strengthened, but farmers' incomes have also been increased.

According to Sun Bo, Party secretary of Ninggu town, the town will adhere to the tasks proposed in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and combine poverty alleviation with rural vitalization, food security, cultivated land protection, people's livelihood security, and common prosperity.

It will promote the upgrading of rural infrastructure, expansion of public service standards, continuous improvement of the living environment, and extension of the social security system.
