Pingyao opens intangible cultural heritage museum

The Pingyao Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum was recently opened to the public in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province. 

The museum is located in Another Glance at Pingyao Cultural Industry Park and was jointly established by the park and the local bureau of culture and tourism. 

It displays several local intangible cultural heritage items such as Pingyao white copper ware production, Baolongzhai cloth shoes, dough modeling and paper-cutting. 

The museum also offers sales, study and experience tour services, teaching people about the importance of protecting intangible cultural heritage items and providing craftspeople with a way to earn money.
