Pingyao accelerates construction of tourist avenue

The construction of a tourist avenue to Pingyao Ancient City Eco-tourism Cultural Industrial Park has been accelerated in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province.

The route running to the west side of the county seat connects downtown Pingyao and Pingyao Ancient City Eco-tourism Cultural Industrial Park. Its total length is about 4.87 kilometers, about 3.79 km of which consists of road. 

Pingyao has completed the construction of the lower layer of asphalt, curb stone, and shoulder concrete of the tourist avenue, 90 percent of the culvert and ancillary works, and has accelerated construction on the S222 highway bridge and middle green belt along the tourist avenue as well as the installation of street lights. 

The tourist avenue project linking the Ancient City of Pingyao and Tianlu Lake in the county will help boost local high-quality economic development.
