National cancer institute conducts medical services in Pingyao

The Shanxi branch of the Cancer Institute and Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the National Regional Medical Center of Shanxi provincial Cancer Hospital launched a professional caner diagnosis and treatment event in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, on July 23. 

The event aimed to improve cancer prevention and treatment in primary medical institutions, introduce more quality medical resources to primary medical institutions through collaborative construction, large-scale free medical consultation, surgical guidance, and academic lectures, and benefit more residents. 

At the launch ceremony, Pingyao signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanxi branch of the Cancer Institute and Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Pingyao People's Hospital was inducted into the Shanxi Provincial Oncology Specialist Alliance.

Pingyao People's Hospital will fully cooperate with 3A-grade hospitals and specialist alliances through telemedicine, accelerate the development of oncology, rehabilitation, and spirituality departments, improve services, and strive to give people a greater sense of satisfaction.

During the free medical consultation activity that day, experts conducted free diagnosis and treatment for 444 patients in Pingyao, and completed five difficult medical operations.
