Pingyao holds preparation meeting for China Tourism Day

An online meeting on preparations for the 2022 China Tourism Day was held in Pingyao county in Jinzhong, North China's Shanxi province, on April 19.

The Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism, and authorities of Pingyao county and Jinzhong discussed activity procedures, epidemic prevention and control, and reception services for the celebration of China Tourism Day on May 19.

With the theme "Feeling Chinese culture and enjoying a beautiful journey", the day will feature a series of activities in the main host city of Pingyao and different sub-venues across the country, as well as promotions and live broadcasts both online and offline. 

Liang Yanping, deputy mayor of Jinzhong, said that the series of activities aim to further boost confidence in the development of the tourism industry and help with the recovery and development of the tourism market.

Setting up the main venue in Pingyao will help enhance the vitality, competitiveness and service quality of the local tourism industry.
