Pingyao starts project construction

Pingyao county in North China's Shanxi province held a ceremony to mark the resumption of construction on key projects in 2022 on March 4.

It was announced at the ceremony that 16 key projects will begin or resume construction, including a tourist avenue in the Pingyao Ancient City Eco-tourism Cultural Industrial Park, Beite Liuyi Primary School and the ecological treatment of the Pingyao section of Fenhe River. 

This year, there are 110 key projects in Pingyao with a total investment of 34.23 billion yuan ($5.42 billion). 

Among them, 44 are industrial projects with 13.09 billion yuan in investment, 26 are infrastructure projects and 40 are related to people's livelihoods.
