Pingyao promotes construction of equipment manufacturing project

An civil air defense equipment intelligent manufacturing base is under construction in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province.

The base is located in Pingyao Economic and Technological Development Zone. After completion, it will be able to produce 12,000 sets of air defense equipment annually, including more than 700 varieties such as protective doors and supporting equipment.

Kong Xiangping, supervisor of the base, said that two-thirds of the main structures of the base's factory have been completed, and factory construction will be finished in June 2022. Equipment will be installed in August 2022.

Once completed, it will employ more than 300 people and is expected to create an annual output value of over 150 million yuan ($23.56 million), as well as taxes and profits of over 12 million, with products sold across Shanxi and surrounding areas, Kong added. 

The base will increase product R&D efforts, focus on product quality, and further optimize scientific and technological innovation to contribute to the high-quality economic development of Pingyao.
