Pingyao crafts honored at competition in Fujian province

Pingyao county's entries wowed attendees at the 2021 Golden Phoenix Innovative Product Design Competition held between March 5 and 8 in Fuzhou, the capital of East China's Fujian province.

In the competition, 18 works from Pingyao county won gold, silver, bronze and excellence awards, accounting for 75 percent of the total number of award-winning works from Jinzhong city.

The awards highlight the new image of Pingyao's arts and crafts industry and promote the unique culture of the Ancient City of Pingyao. 

Award-winning craftspeople said that they would firmly grasp the roots of traditional culture, incorporate modern aesthetic concepts, continue to exchange and learn from others. These people will promote the innovative development of traditional crafts and produce more creative artworks.
