A total of 118 people from Pingyao county in Jinzhong city, Shanxi province departed for Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to work on Feb 19.
The labor output was organized by the Shanxi Employment Service Bureau and the bureaus of human resources and social security in Pingyao county and Jinzhong. It was Shanxi's first batch of laborers to leave the province after the Spring Festival holiday.
The labor output scheme is intended to increase local migrant workers' incomes.
Since the beginning of this year, Jinzhong has transported more than 5,000 laborers to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Shandong and Anhui provinces. By the end of March, it is expected that the city's transported laborers will reach 10,500.
Next, Jinzhong's bureau of human resources and social security will provide practical service guarantees for these migrant workers, helping them solve difficulties encountered in work, life and rights protection. It will also carry out targeted supply-demand matchmaking in the labor market to facilitate employment.
