Overseas Chinese businesspeople visit Pingyao

More than 40 representatives of overseas Chinese businesses, that are members of China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, recently toured Pingyao county in North China's Shanxi province to learn about the culture and history of Shanxi's merchants. 

Shanxi Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau jointly hosted a trip across the province, targeting overseas Chinese businesspeople.

The aim was to further improve practical cooperation with overseas Chinese businesspeople in the fields of commerce and trade, science and technology, as well as to promote the socioeconomic development of Shanxi.

Pingyao county was the trip's last stop. It followed visits to overseas Chinese cultural exchange bases and overseas Chinese-funded companies in Shanxi, as well as to an investment promotion conference.

After the visit in Pingyao, many representatives of overseas Chinese businesspeople said they would promote Shanxi in various ways and appeal to more overseas Chinese merchants to participate in the economic and cultural development of the province.
